Great and eternal God, I come before you empty. Fill me with faith, with a faith of childlike simplicity and persuasive vitality. Fill me with hope, with a hope that never falters because it is rooted and grounded in your constancy. Fill me with love, love for you whom I cannot see, love for loved ones and friends of whom I can not see enough, love for the unlovely whom I pretend not to see. Bountiful God, fill me once again with faith, hope and love that I may more effectively serve you. In the Spirit of Christ, Amen.
